Farfar Studio

Farfar Studio is a New York City–based, artist-run collective specializing in fine art documentation.

We are dedicated to delivering high-quality photographs of paintings, drawings, prints, and other works on paper, as well as sculpture, performance, installations, exhibitions, and events.

Alongside our documentation services, we also offer portrait photography, including staff headshots and portraits of artists and creatives.

The studio has documented over 100 exhibitions. We work with industry-standard medium-format digital cameras and Profoto lighting systems. All images are color-corrected and carefully retouched, delivered as 16-bit TIFF files up to 8,500 pixels on the long edge, with specifications adjustable to meet your needs. Our standard turnaround time is 3–5 business days, with 24-hour rush service available.
